Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd open talks with Liverpool target as Chelsea plot £112m raid | Football | Sport

The January transfer window is just around the corner, with many of the Premier League’s biggest clubs expected to be active in the winter market. The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal will be looking to improve their squads when the bidding opens to fine-tune their preparations for the business end of the campaign.

United are said to be weighing up a move for another striker to ease the pressure on Rasmus Hojlund at the top of the pitch. The Red Devils have been linked with several exciting targets, with RB Leipzig marksman Lois Openda and Santos ace Marcos Leonardo thought to be among the names on their shortlist.

Chelsea will also be hoping to use the January window to their advantage after Mauricio Pochettino underlined his desire for more signings earlier this month. Arsenal, meanwhile, have been tipped to splash the cash in order to strengthen their Premier League title ambitions.
